2. What this website does and does not collect
This website is a single informational page. Being clear about what it does not do is more useful than a generic list:
- There is no contact form, enquiry form or search box. The only way to contact us from the site is an email link.
- There are no user accounts, logins or registrations.
- We do not run analytics — there is no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel and no visitor-tracking script of any kind.
- We set no cookies of our own, and we do not use local storage to profile you.
- We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not use it for behavioural advertising.
- We do not knowingly collect children's data. The site is aimed at businesses in the railway and aerospace sectors.
3. Data that is collected when you visit
3.1 Hosting logs
The site is hosted on Firebase Hosting, a Google service. Like any web server, it records technical request data — your IP address, the time of the request, the page or file requested, your browser's user-agent string and referring page. This is used for delivering the site and for security and abuse prevention. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.
3.2 Fonts
The page loads typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). Your browser therefore makes a request to Google, which discloses your IP address and user-agent to Google. We receive nothing from this and set no cookie through it.
3.3 The map on the contact section
The contact section embeds a Google Maps frame showing our office. When that frame loads, Google may set cookies or use local storage in your browser and will receive your IP address, in accordance with Google's own privacy policy — not ours. The map is set to load lazily, so it generally loads only when you scroll near it.
If you would rather not load it, you can leave the page before scrolling to the contact section, block third-party frames in your browser, or use the textual address published on the page instead.
3.4 If you email us
When you write to us we receive whatever you choose to send: typically your name, email address, organisation, job role, telephone number if you include it, and the content of your enquiry — which for our business often includes technical drawings, specifications or asset information.
Our email is operated by Zoho Mail, so messages you send us are transmitted and stored on Zoho's infrastructure as our processor.
3.5 If you become a customer or supplier
In the course of a commercial relationship we process business-contact and transaction data: names, job titles, work email addresses and telephone numbers of your personnel; correspondence; purchase orders, invoices and payment records; GST and tax registration details; and delivery addresses.
Where you pay us through a third-party payment gateway, that provider processes your payment details under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store full card numbers, CVV codes, UPI PINs or internet-banking credentials. We receive only the transaction outcome and reference data needed for accounting and reconciliation.
4. Third parties that process data
| Provider | Role | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Google — Firebase Hosting | Serves this website | IP address, request metadata in server logs |
| Google — Fonts | Delivers typefaces | IP address, user-agent |
| Google — Maps | Embedded office map | IP address; cookies or local storage set by Google |
| Zoho — Mail | Our business email | Contents and metadata of email you send us |
| Payment gateway provider | Processes payments to us | Payment credentials, handled by them; we receive only transaction results |
We may also share data with our accountants, auditors, bankers, insurers, professional advisers, and with authorities where the law requires it. We require processors to handle data only on our instructions and to keep it secure.
5. Why we process data, and on what basis
- To respond to your enquiry — because you asked us to, by contacting us.
- To quote for, perform and administer a contract — because it is necessary to do what we have agreed with you.
- To keep accounting, tax and statutory records — because Indian law requires it.
- To operate and secure this website — because we have a legitimate interest in it working and not being abused.
- To pursue or defend legal claims — because we have a legitimate interest in doing so.
We do not send marketing email to people who have not asked to hear from us. If we ever do, it will be on the basis of consent, with an unsubscribe link.
6. International transfers
Our service providers may process data on servers outside India. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on the provider's contractual safeguards and take reasonable steps to ensure a comparable standard of protection. Our own commercial work spans India and other countries, so business-contact data may be shared with our personnel and sub-contractors involved in a specific programme.
7. How long we keep data
| Category | Retention |
|---|---|
| Enquiries that do not lead to a contract | Up to 24 months, then deleted |
| Contract, project and engineering records | For the life of the contract, then as long as needed for warranty, liability, safety traceability and limitation periods |
| Accounting, invoicing and tax records | As required by Indian company and tax law, generally at least 8 years |
| Hosting and server logs | As retained by Firebase Hosting under Google's own retention practice |
Railway and aerospace work carries long safety-traceability expectations, so technical records relating to a supplied part may need to be kept for the service life of the asset.
8. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and other applicable data-protection law, you may:
- ask what personal data of yours we hold and how we process it;
- ask us to correct data that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date;
- ask us to erase data we no longer have a lawful reason to keep;
- withdraw consent where we relied on your consent;
- nominate another person to exercise your rights if you are unable to; and
- complain to us, and then to the Data Protection Board of India.
To exercise any of these, email accounts@asteyatechnologies.co.in. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity first, so that we do not disclose someone's data to the wrong person. Some rights are limited where we must keep records by law.

10. Security
This website is served only over HTTPS. We apply access controls, use reputable service providers, and limit access to personal data to people who need it for their work. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information you send us over the internet — email in particular is not an encrypted channel, so please tell us before sending anything especially sensitive so we can agree a safer method.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version is always at this URL with the "Last updated" date at the top. If we make a change that materially affects how we handle personal data we already hold, we will take reasonable steps to inform affected individuals.
